So, you’ve picked up one of our WSTER or H@F series car speakers. Whether you chose the rugged Off-Road Truck (WS-695) or the classic 1967 Mustang Style (WS-1967), these devices are packed with features that aren't always obvious right out of the box.
To help you get the best sound and battery life, we’ve put together this quick guide to the three most popular features: TWS Pairing, Solar Charging, and FM Radio.
1. How to Use TWS (True Wireless Stereo)
Did you know you can wirelessly connect two matching car speakers to play the same music at the same time? This is called TWS. It splits the audio into "Left" and "Right" channels for a surround-sound experience.
The Setup:
-
Turn on both speakers: Make sure they are the same model (e.g., two HF-F88 units).
-
Disconnect your phone: Go to your phone's Bluetooth settings and turn Bluetooth OFF temporarily. (If the speakers connect to your phone first, they can't connect to each other).
-
Activate Pairing: On one of the speakers, press and hold the "M" (Mode) button (or sometimes the Play/Pause button) for 3–5 seconds.
-
Listen for the beep: You will hear a chime or a tone indicating they are searching. After a few seconds, a second chime will confirm they are paired.
-
Connect your phone: Now, turn your phone's Bluetooth back ON and connect to the device name. Music will now play from both cars!
2. How the Solar Charging Actually Works
Many of our best-sellers, like the X-703 Sport Car and X-701 Grand Tourer, come equipped with solar panels on the roof.
Important Tip: The solar panel is designed to extend your playtime, not to replace your wall charger.
-
Outdoor Use: If you are listening to music outside in the sun, the panel will trickle-charge the battery, helping it last significantly longer than it would in the dark.
-
Emergency Charge: It can revive a dead battery in an emergency, but for a full 0% to 100% charge, we always recommend using the included USB-C or Micro-USB cable.
3. How to Get Clear FM Radio Reception
A common question we get is: "Why is the radio static?"
Because the design is so sleek, there is no giant metal antenna sticking out of the car. Instead, these speakers use the charging cable as an antenna.
How to tune it:
-
Plug in the cable: Insert your charging cable into the charging port, but do not plug the other end into a wall charger. Just let it hang loose or lay it flat—this acts as the antenna wire.
-
Switch Modes: Press the "M" button until you hear "FM Mode" or static noise.
-
Auto-Scan: Press the Play/Pause button once. The speaker will go silent and automatically scan for every clear station in your area.
-
Wait: Once it stops scanning, use the Next (+) and Prev (-) buttons to flip through the saved crystal-clear stations.
